    SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

    If necessary, reduce joint depth using Fix and Fill Foam, or Joint backer rod. Furthermore, ensure the joint design only permits adhesion to two different substrates.

    APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS

    We have a number of tools on our website that would assist with the application of this product. We would recommend using a PC Cox Skeleton Gun to apply & a Bond-it Tooling Kit to aid in providing a professional finish.

    Cut the tip of the cartridge using a sharp blade, taking care not to damage the thread. Attach nozzle and cut cleanly at a 45° angle, with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be sealed. Apply using a standard sealant gun.

    CLEANING OF TOOLS

    – Uncured sealant – white spirit
    – Cured sealant – Everflex Silicone Eater

    LIMITATIONS

    – Not for use in aquarium manufacture. Use Aquamate Sealant.

    APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

    SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

    All surfaces must be dry and dust free. All flaking surface coatings, and old sealant and mastic joints, should be removed before application. Glass, metal and aluminium should be cleaned with a proprietary solvent cleaner before use for optimum adhesion.

    APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS

    For deep joints, reduce depth by using EVERBUILD FIX AND FILL FOAM or a suitable joint backer rod. Triangular fillets should be no less than 12mm across the face and should be finished with a flat or convex face.

    Cut the tip of the cartridge with a sharp blade, taking care not to damage the thread. Apply using a standard sealant gun. Best results will be obtained by keeping the gun at a constant angle to the surface being sealed.

     

    LIMITATIONS

    – Not for use in conjunction with bitumen or asphalt. Use WEATHER MATE.
    – Do not use in the vicinity of, or in conjunction with the edge sealant of double glazed units. Use SILICONE 450.
    – Use on uPVC and plastic components: Due to the wide variety and quality of these materials, the user must always carry out an adhesion test before use. Thermal movement of PVC-u frames can be excessive. This product accommodates movement of +/- 20% of the joint width.

    Everbuild 825 is an LM (low modulus), odourless silicone with a neutral cure. Everbuild 825 adheres to a wide range of both porous and non-porous surfaces without the need for priming.

    USES

    PRIMER

    Everbuild 825 does not require a primer on most common surfaces, although adhesion tests are recommended before full-scale application. However, if the joint is likely to be immersed or if adhesion is weak (especially on porous surfaces) use Everbuild P1 Primer. To improve adhesion (if required) to non-porous surfaces, prime with Everbuild NP2 Primer (advised for aluminium).

    SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

    Areas that require application must be clean and dust-free. For instance, remove dirt with compressed air or de-grease by using a solvent soaked pad, following by wiping with a clean cloth.

    LIMITATIONS

    – Not to be used in combination with bitumen asphalt, neoprene and specific organic elastomers, please check the technical datasheet.
    – Can not be used in the manufacture of Aquariums or any submerged areas.
    – Not to be used on substrates that bleed oil, solvents or plasticisers, please refer to the technical datasheet.
    – Non-overpaintable.

    Everbuild AC50 is a permanently flexible, high strength acoustic sealant and adhesive specially formulated for sealing and bonding plasterboard and other kraft lined insulation boards to conventional substrates.

    SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

    All surfaces must be clean and dust free. Highly porous substrates should be primed first with Everbuild PVA bond diluted 1:4 with water. Surfaces may be slightly damp, but not wet. NOTE: THIS WILL SLOW THE CURE.

    APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS

    900ml size cartridge needs to be used with a 1ltr mastic gun. Cut nozzle to required length with a sharp blade and puncture inner membrane seal before applying.
    C4 Packs can be installed with a standard sealant gun – Cut the tip of the cartridge taking care not to damage the thread. Apply nozzle and cut cleanly at an angle of 45°. Use as a sealant: Always cut nozzle to size slightly larger than the gap to be sealed. Apply to the gap, slightly overfilling and finish smooth with a caulking tool or filler knife. Clean excess sealant with a damp cloth within 30 minutes of application.

    Use as an adhesive for direct bonding to large surfaces: Cut nozzle to provide a bead of approximately 9-10mm diameter and apply a continuous bead to one surface at 250-350mm centres. Apply board immediately to surface and tamp down. Provide temporary support until cured. Use as an adhesive for bonding to studding: Apply a continuous bead to studding and apply board immediately into position. Do not apply more than one board’s width of studding at one time. Provide temporary support until cured.

    LIMITATIONS

    – Should not be used against bituminous materials.
    – Humid or damp conditions will significantly extend the cure time.
    – Do not attempt to abrade when cured.
    – Can not be overpainted until the product has fully cured. This will typically be 24 hours but maybe 4-5 days in damp, cold or humid conditions.
    – Do not apply below 5°C.

    Shake the can well before use. Select the fan width by turning the nozzle to the desired position. Spray the adhesive from 6-8 inches (15 to 20 cm approx.) away onto one or both surfaces; depending on the type of substrate/strength of bond required.

    Everbuild Firefoam B2 Gun Grade

    Everbuild Firefoam B2 Gun Grade is a quick setting one part polyurethane foam with fire resistance properties. The foam expands on application 1.5 – 2 times the original size and meets all the requirements of DIN 4102 Part 1 & BS476 Part 20 for Construction Materials. Everbuild Firefoam B2 is fire-rated up to 2 hours in specific joint configurations. Once cured, the foam can be sawn or plastered over after only an hour providing the working temperatures (can and surfaces) are between +5oC to +25oC, ideally 20oC.

    USES

    – Filling gaps around pipe entries through fire-rated walls. To provide a fire-rated seal around window and doorframes.
