EVERBUILD Coving Adhesive & Joint Filler is a high-strength, solvent-free adhesive designed for fixing polystyrene and plaster coving and cornices to sound porous surfaces. It also acts as a filler for gaps between coving lengths, drying white and being overpaintable when dry. This product provides excellent adhesion and bond strength, exceptional early grab properties, and high solids for superior gap-filling. It offers extended open time for easy repositioning, can adhere to damp surfaces, and is water-cleanable with no hazardous solvents.

Shelf Life: 24 months
Storage Conditions: Store in the original, unopened containers between 5°C and 25°C. Storing outside of these temperatures may reduce the shelf life. Keep away from frost.

EVERBUILD Coving Adhesive & Joint Filler is ideal for fixing and jointing polystyrene coving, ceiling centre tiles, and other decorative polystyrene products to sound surfaces. It can also be used for fixing plaster coving and filling gaps between coving sections.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
Ensure all surfaces are sound, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, loose material, or flaky paint. Remove wallpaper from areas in contact with the adhesive. Prime all substrates with EVERBUILD PVA BOND diluted 1 part PVA to 4 parts water and allow to dry.
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS:
- Cut the cartridge tip carefully without damaging the thread.
- Attach the nozzle and cut it at a 45-degree angle to create a 6-9mm opening.
- As a coving adhesive: Apply using a standard sealant gun, spreading the adhesive to a depth of 3-6mm over the entire area in contact with the wall. Press the coving firmly in place and provide temporary support with panel pins until fully dry (24-48 hours). Clean excess adhesive with a damp cloth before it dries.
- As a ceiling rose/polystyrene tile adhesive: Ensure the electricity is turned off at the mains. Apply adhesive over the entire surface of the rose/tile and comb it with a 3-6mm notched trowel. Press the tile firmly against the primed substrate. For plaster ceiling roses, use mechanical fixings due to the weight.
- As a joint filler: Apply the product into the joint, ensuring all voids are filled. Smooth with a damp cloth for an even finish. No sanding is required. Overpaintable with emulsion paint after about 2 hours or once a skin forms.
LIMITATIONS:
- Not for external use or in permanently damp/wet conditions.
- Curing time may be extended in cold, damp, or humid conditions.
- New plaster must be at least 4 weeks old before application.
- Always provide temporary support until fully cured.
- Not suitable for polyurethane coving or trim; use EVERBUILD GUN A NAIL EXTRA adhesive. Avoid use on non-porous surfaces like plastic/plastic; use GUN A NAIL EXTRA instead.
