EVERBUILD OPTI-MIX MORTAR PLASTICISER is a highly concentrated air-entraining liquid admixture, 25 times stronger than conventional products. It forms stable air bubbles in mortar mixes, improving workability by giving the mortar a “buttery” consistency. This helps prevent shrinkage, cracking, crazing, and mild frost damage during curing, while also providing long-term freeze/thaw resistance. Additionally, it replaces lime in the mix, reducing the chance of efflorescence and smoothing out variations between batches of sand and cement. Its concentrated formula means 1 litre is equivalent to 25 litres of standard mortar plasticiser.

EVERBUILD OPTI-MIX MORTAR PLASTICISER is ideal for use in pointing mortars, renders, screeds, and bricklaying mortars.
Application Method / Tools:
Shake the bottle well before use. Remove the lid by pushing it down and twisting it counterclockwise. Squeeze the sides of the bottle to fill the measuring cap with the required dose (5-10 ml per 50 kg of cement). Add the EVERBUILD® OPTI-MIX® MORTAR PLASTICISER to a bucket of water and stir well, using up to a maximum of 10 litres of water. Dry mix all other ingredients and gradually add the water/EVERBUILD® OPTI-MIX® MORTAR PLASTICISER solution until the desired consistency is reached. Never add the product directly to the dry mix; always dilute it in a portion of the gauging water. Replace the cap after use.
Limitations:
- Not suitable for structural concrete.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- Do not mix with other additives in the same gauging water.
- Not for use in lime-based mixes.
