ROCKWOOL Sound Insulation Slab is a versatile stone wool solution with a non-directional fibre structure designed to absorb sound waves and reduce vibrations. It can be used in walls, floors, and lofts to control acoustics and has received the Quiet Mark™ certification for its effectiveness in minimizing noise. Besides its acoustic properties, the slab offers excellent fire resistance with a Euroclass A1 rating and can endure temperatures over 1000°C. The slabs are easy to cut and fit, accommodating cables, pipes, and services without gaps, thanks to a flexible edge. The newly launched 140mm slab, ideal for external timber frames, provides both thermal and acoustic benefits with a lambda value of 0.035 W/mK. In 2024, the packaging of ROCKWOOL’s Trade Range products will be updated to reduce environmental impact, with the new design gradually rolling out.
