Surface Preparation Guidelines

General adhesion: Silirub Color adheres well to most surfaces without primer.

For critical applications (e.g., high-moisture or extreme weather):

Use Soudal Activator or Cleaner on non-porous surfaces

Use Primer 150 on porous surfaces

❌ No adhesion to PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®), or bituminous materials

🔍 Always conduct preliminary adhesion tests, especially on coated or treated surfaces

For glazing: Clean frame and glass surfaces thoroughly before application
Glass Compatibility
Laboratory tests confirm that Silirub Color is compatible with most insulating double-glazing edge seals and standard PVB films. However, due to the wide variety of edge sealing systems available, a compatibility test is always recommended before use in double-glazing applications.
