Soudal Decorators Caulk is an ACRYLIC solvent free caulk that forms a durable, flexible seal. For indoor use. Can be easily painted or papered over once fully cured.
Decorators Caulk Properties
– Very easy to apply
– Colourfast and waterproof after curing
– Can be painted over after curing
– Very good adhesion on many porous surfaces and aluminium
Substrates
Substrates: On most porous building surfaces, on aluminium.
Nature: clean, free of dust and grease.
Surface preparation: Highly porous surfaces should be primed with diluted Decorators Caulk ( 1 part Decorators Caulk + 2 parts water). We recommend a preliminary adhesion test on
every surface.
Joint dimensions
Min. width for joints: 1 mm
Max. width for joints: 10 mm
Min. depth for joints: 5 mm
Recommendation sealing jobs: joint width = joint depth. Use PE backer rods before applying the sealant in large joints to avoid 3- point adhesion.

Decorators Caulk is ideal for sealing gaps around internal window and door frames, skirting boards, plasterboard, architraves and coving. Including:
– Sealant for cracks in concrete and plaster work.
– Connection joints in building industry.
– Joints on window sills, between plinths and walls, between masonry, etc
APPLICATION
Application method: Apply the sealant by means of a manual or pneumatic caulking gun into the joint. Next finish with for example a filling-knife. Do not apply when rain or frost is imminent during curing process.
Cleaning: Before curing, Painters Caulk Express can be removed with water from substrates and tools.
Finishing: Finish with a spatula or putty knife.
Repair: With the same material.
LIMITATIONS
– Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
– Paintable with most paints.
– The paint must be sufficiently elastic to allow application on a plasto-elastic sealant.
– Given the great diversity in available paints it is recommended to do a compatibility test prior to application.
