Product Description:
Arbothane 1245SL is a one-part self-levelling Polyurethane Sealant that cures on exposure to moisture vapour to form a tough but flexible rubber. Arbothane 1245SL has good adhesion to concrete, brickwork, metals and many other common construction substrates.Â

Recommended for use in both interior and exterior applications to seal joints in floors and walkways exposed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic in warehouses, garages and factory floors. For concrete and porous surfaces, it is recommended that Arbokol AG2 Porous Primer is used to promote the correct adhesion. For other materials, e.g. plastics, PVC, aluminium and lacquered metal, preliminary testing is recommended to determine whether priming is required. NB: Not recommended for use against natural stone.
APPLICATION
Joint PreparationÂ
The joint surfaces must be even, clean, dry, and free from all contamination. The surfaces should be degreased using the appropriate Arbo Cleaner. Primers may be required on some substrates. It is recommended that Adshead Ratcliffe Technical Services Department should be consulted and advice obtained with regard to the choice of primer for specific purposes.Â
Joint BackingÂ
Where applicable, appropriate joint filler, e.g. closed-cell polyethylene foam, should be used to provide the correct joint depth.Â
ApplicationÂ
All joint preparation, priming, and sealant application should be carried out in accordance with BS 8000 Part 16, the British Standard for the sealing of joints in buildings using sealants. Arbothane 1245SLis supplied in 600ml foil packs and can be applied into the joint using an Arbo Foil Pack Gun
