FIBRE PLUS is a high-performance, flexible, self-levelling, and smoothing cementitious flooring compound reinforced with a blend of fibres and polymers to enhance flexibility and strength. Suitable for thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 50mm (up to 60mm with added aggregate), it can be applied by hand or pump and is protein-free. This versatile compound conforms to EN13813:2002 and is ideal for levelling most common internal sub-floors before installing final surfaces like ceramic tiles, carpet, vinyl, and wood flooring. It is compatible with cement and sand screeds, including those with underfloor heating, and eliminates the need for separate latex liquids by containing powdered latex.

FIBRE PLUS is an ideal solution for levelling common internal sub-floors before installing final surfaces like ceramic tiles, carpet, vinyl, and wood flooring, with a minimum levelling thickness of 3mm. It is suitable for use over cement and sand screeds, including those with existing underfloor heating. The compound also contains powdered latex, removing the need for separate, costly latex liquids.

Preparation:
Sub-floors must be clean, dry, structurally sound, and free from contaminants such as grease, oil, paint, or polish that could impair adhesion. Vacuum the surface before applying primers or compound. For underfloor heating, turn it off 48 hours before starting work and turn it back on 48 hours after completion, gradually increasing the temperature by +5°C per day. Sub-floors below ground level should have a damp proof membrane and a moisture content of 75% RH or below; use a surface damp proof membrane if moisture exceeds 75% RH. For gypsum and anhydrite screeds, ensure they are moisture-free and avoid using surface damp proof membranes. Clean and abrade old ceramic tiles, and remove old water-soluble adhesives, priming with a waterproof primer. For non-absorbent surfaces, clean and prime with an appropriate primer. Wooden floors should be overboarded with 15mm exterior-grade plywood. Sand and vacuum calcium sulphate or gypsum screeds before applying two coats of Bond It PRIMER & FLEXIBLE ADMIXTURE.

Mixing:
Mix 3.6L of clean water with every 20kg bag of FIBRE PLUS. Slowly add the powder to the water while stirring with a slow-speed drill or paddle for about 3 minutes until a smooth, lump-free mix forms. Do not overwater, as foam or settling aggregates indicates excess water. For layer thicknesses of 10-60mm, bulk with approximately 65% clean silica sand (0.1-3mm) or 3mm granite chippings. Do not mix more than can be laid in 10 minutes, and avoid adding extra water once the product begins to set.

Application:
Ensure the floor temperature is above +5°C. Pour FIBRE PLUS onto the prepared surface and trowel it to a smooth finish, ensuring no more is mixed than can be laid within 10 minutes. This product can be applied in layers of up to 10-12mm, allowing each layer to fully cure before applying the next. Adequate ventilation during curing is essential. Use edging strips to prevent contact with vertical surfaces for layers over 3mm. Light foot traffic is acceptable after 3 hours, but soft floor coverings should not be laid for 24 hours.

Ready for Covering:
FIBRE PLUS can be covered with flexible floor coverings after 24 hours for thicknesses of 3-10mm. For up to 50mm thickness over internal concrete, ceramic tiles can be applied after 3 hours. Drying times for non-porous surfaces before applying ceramic tiles are: 1 day for 10mm, 3 days for 10-20mm, 7 days for 20-30mm, 10 days for 30-40mm, and 14 days for 40-50mm.

Limitations:
Do not use at temperatures below +5°C or above +30°C. High temperatures reduce open time, while cold or humid conditions slow drying. Ensure ambient humidity does not exceed 55% RH for at least 28 days post-application. FIBRE PLUS should not be used externally, nor as a final wearing surface; it must be covered with a floor covering. PVA is not suitable for priming before applying smoothing compounds. Avoid using spiky rollers as they can pull out the fibres.

Cleaning:
Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Cured material can only be removed by mechanical means.
