The product is suitable for use over both absorbent and non-absorbent internal substrates, including concrete, cement:sand screeds, timber floors (with correct preparation), existing tiles, asphalt flooring grades and calcium sulphate screeds. Time is often critical on site, and BAL Level Max supports fast-track installations. It accepts foot traffic in approximately three hours and can be tiled after just four hours at 20°C when installing ceramic or natural stone tiles. For soft floor coverings such as vinyl or carpet, a minimum of 24 hours should be allowed, depending on thickness and site conditions.
Surface preparation remains essential. Substrates must be clean, dry and structurally sound, with appropriate priming carried out using recommended BAL primers where required. Once mixed, the leveller offers a workable pot life of around 30 minutes, providing enough time for accurate placement and finishing without unnecessary delays.
