Bond-it PU600 PU Sausage Grey is a high-performance, one-part polyurethane sealant primarily used for sealing and bonding applications in construction, including expansion joints, floor joints, precast concrete panels, curtain walling, cladding, and general building façades where a durable, flexible, and weather-resistant seal is required. It adheres well to common substrates such as concrete, brick, metal, wood, and many plastics, making it suitable for both internal and external use, especially in areas subject to movement and vibration. However, its limitations include sensitivity to moisture during curing (which can affect finish), potential staining on porous substrates, and unsuitability for use on certain materials like bitumen, polyethylene, or Teflon without prior testing. It is also not recommended for permanently submerged joints, potable water contact, or applications requiring high UV color stability, as slight discoloration may occur over time.
