Before You Start
– Choose a dry day with temperatures above 10 °C for best results.
– Wear a mask when sanding to avoid inhaling dust.
– Not suitable for use on decking.
How to Prepare Stained or Varnished Wood
– Sand the surface with 120 grit sandpaper to remove old finishes and create a smooth base.
– Clean the surface with white spirit and a cloth to remove dust and residue.
How to Prepare New Wood
– Lightly sand to smooth out imperfections.
– Wipe down with white spirit and allow to dry fully.
– Follow supplier guidelines when treating veneer surfaces.
Application
1. Stir thoroughly to evenly distribute colour pigments.
2. Test on a small hidden area to check the colour.
3. Apply with a brush in the direction of the wood grain.
4. Allow 4 hours drying time between coats and apply 3 coats for best results.
5. Lightly sand before the final coat to improve adhesion and achieve a smooth finish.
6. Final coat dries fully in 12 hours and becomes rainproof in 1 hour.
7. Clean any spills on skin with warm soapy water.
Aftercare
Cleaning
– Once fully dry, clean surfaces as normal to maintain appearance.
– Wash brushes and any product from skin with warm soapy water.
Repairs
– Sand damaged areas and reapply the stain to restore the finish.
