Sika® Patio Seal is a low-odour, water-based acrylic coating designed to seal and protect patios, paths, natural stone, concrete, and block paving from sunlight, water, oil, petrol, and organic growth. The milky solution dries to form a hard-wearing, water-repellent film with a low-sheen, slip-resistant finish. Sika Patio Seal helps reduce dirt pickup and makes surfaces easier to clean. Its non-flammable, water-based formula is safer to use than traditional solvent-based products. It will not harm plants or animals when used as directed.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SUBSTRATE QUALITY / PRE-TREATMENT
– Ensure surfaces are clean and free from grease, dust, loose material, algae, and other contaminants.
– Clean surfaces using SIKA® Mould Buster. For heavy oil contamination, use a suitable detergent with hot water, and for heavily soiled areas use SIKA® Brick Cleaner.
– After cleaning, thoroughly rinse the surface with clean water to remove all residues.
– Artificial stone and block paving should be left for a minimum of 3 months before sealing to allow salts to leach out and prevent white staining beneath the coating.
APPLICATION
1. Stir thoroughly before use.
2. Can be applied to damp, but not wet, surfaces.
3. Apply evenly using a long-pile roller or low-pressure spray, avoiding ponding on textured surfaces.
4. Apply two coats with no more than 2 hours between coats.
5. An additional coat may be applied to achieve a semi-gloss finish.
6. Drying time is approximately 4 hours after the final coat at 20 °C, with longer drying times at lower temperatures.
Do not apply below 5 °C.
CLEANING
– Clean treated surfaces using warm water and detergent or SIKA® Mould Buster.
– Do not use acid-based cleaners, as these may remove or discolor the coating.
– Avoid the use of pressure washers.
LIMITATIONS
– Use only as directed and store in the original container.
– Do not apply when air or surface temperatures are below 5 °C.
– Do not apply to surfaces treated with silicone- or stearate-based water sealers, such as SIKA® Water Repel+, unless the surface no longer shows water beading.
– Do not apply if rain is expected within 5 hours at 20 °C.
– Dispose of product and packaging responsibly and prevent entry into watercourses.
– Users are responsible for determining the suitability of the product for their application. If unsure, contact Technical Services for advice.
