EVERBUILD® Lumberjack® 650 Floor Adhesive is a high-specification, trowel-applied flooring adhesive based on advanced hybrid polymer technology. Its water-free formulation helps prevent warping or curling of wood blocks and planks, while the extended open time of approximately 40 minutes allows easy positioning and adjustment over large installation areas. The adhesive offers excellent gap-filling properties for uneven substrates and cures to a permanently flexible bond that accommodates subfloor movement. Suitable for use with underfloor heating systems, it bonds wood directly to a wide range of common subfloors and provides effective sound-deadening performance.
Key Points:
– Advanced hybrid polymer technology – Water-free formula prevents warping and curling of wood flooring.
– Extended open time – Approximately 40 minutes for easier installation and adjustment.
– Flexible and versatile – Bonds wood to concrete, timber, metal, ceramic tiles, rigid vinyl, marble, granite, and most natural stone floors.
– Enhanced performance – Excellent gap-filling, acoustic properties, and compatibility with underfloor heating systems
Shelf Life – 12 months from date of manufacture when stored as directed.
Storage Conditions – Store in cool, dry conditions between +5 and +25 ˚C. Ensure good ventilation. Storage outside these parameters will dramatically reduce shelf life. Opened tins must be closed airtight and used up as soon as possible (within 1 month).

Specifically designed for fixing all types of wooden floors directly onto most substrates.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
– Follow all preparation and installation guidance to achieve optimum bond strength and floor performance. Preliminary compatibility testing is recommended on all substrates before installation.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
– Check the moisture content of the subfloor using a carbide hygrometer before installation. Subfloors should typically have a moisture content below 3%.
– All surfaces must be sound, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, wax, polish, and other contaminants. Existing floor tiles should be cleaned with caustic soda, thoroughly rinsed, and allowed to dry. Remove all old adhesive residues mechanically to ensure good adhesion.
– New concrete should be allowed to cure for at least 4 weeks. Screeds require a minimum of 28 days curing time and must not exceed 3% moisture content. For moisture levels between 3.1% and 7%, use SikaBond® DPM Rapid. Do not use the adhesive above these moisture levels.
– Chipboard surfaces must be free from wax and release agents. Porous or friable substrates should be primed with SikaBond® DPM Rapid and allowed to dry. Smooth surfaces, such as anhydrite screeds, should be mechanically roughened to provide a suitable key.
– Basement and below-ground floors must have an effective damp-proof course (DPC) and be treated with two coats of SikaBond® DPM Rapid as directed. Underfloor heating systems should be switched off 48 hours before installation and remain off for 48 hours after application.
Flooring Acclimatisation
– Parquet flooring must be acclimatised in the installation area for several days before fitting. Leave flooring in its original packaging during this period.
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
– Open the tub and inner foil pack, then apply the adhesive evenly using a suitable notched trowel at a minimum coverage rate of 0.6 kg/m². Only spread as much adhesive as can be covered within 30 minutes.
– Install planks or blocks while the adhesive remains tacky, positioning them carefully and tapping into place using a mallet and block. Remove uncured adhesive immediately with EVERBUILD® Wonder Wipes® (test compatibility first on lacquered flooring).
– The floor can normally be sanded or subjected to light traffic after approximately 24 hours, depending on site conditions and temperature. Lower temperatures may increase curing times.
