This 1-component, ready-to-use wood flooring adhesive offers fast curing, excellent workability, and an elastic, sound-dampening bond that reduces stress transfer between the wood floor and the substrate. Floors can be sanded after approximately 12 hours (at +23 °C / 50% RH using Trowel B3/B11), and the adhesive itself can also be sanded once cured. It is suitable for most common wood flooring types, including problematic woods such as beech, maple, and bamboo, and can be applied directly over old ceramic tiles. The adhesive is also compatible with subfloor heating systems, making it a versatile solution for professional flooring installations.

Sikabond 54 can be used for solid and engineered wood floors (strips, longstrips, planks, panels, boards), mosaic parquet, industrial parquet, lam parquet, wood paving (residential). Chipboards can also be bonded.
SUBSTRATE QUALITY / PRE-TREATMENT
– Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants.
– Remove oil stains with detergent and hot water.
– Treat mould and algae with EVERBUILD Patio Wizard.
– Degrease cement-based pavers and remove release agents.
– Leave new paving, flags, and artificial stone for at least 3 months before sealing.
– Do not apply to wet or saturated surfaces.
– In hot, dry conditions, lightly dampen and allow surfaces to dry before application.
APPLICATION NOTE
– Do not apply below +5°C.
– Apply using a watering can and long-pile roller.
– Work thoroughly into joints for maximum penetration.
– Do not leave excess product on the surface.
– Avoid ponding, especially on textured surfaces.
– Apply two coats.
– Allow 3–4 hours between coats.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
– Clean cured product with xylene.
LIMITATIONS
– Do not apply to wet surfaces or in direct sunlight.
– Do not apply if rain is expected within 5 hours.
– Suitable for porous surfaces only.
– Do not use on painted surfaces.
– Do not use on surfaces treated with silicone- or stearate-based sealers.
– Some natural stones may darken slightly.
– Always test a small area before full application.
– Slip resistance is reduced when wet.
– Allow 12–24 hours before trafficking.
– Paving and artificial stone must be at least 3 months old before treatment.
