FS703 is a low modulus, neutral cure silicone sealant designed for sealing linear gaps to reinstate fire performance in compartment walls and floors. It provides up to 4 hours of fire resistance, tested to EN 1366-4, and is suitable for gaps ranging from 10 to 220 mm. The sealant performs well in flexible walls, rigid walls, and floors, offering superior elasticity, excellent tooling properties, and resistance to UV and weathering. It has been air pressure tested up to 600 Pa and allows 20% movement when used together with FJ203 Fire Rope, meeting F-EXT-INT-CC-25LM standards.

FS703 is a silicone sealant designed to restore the fire performance of compartment walls and floors by sealing linear joints between different substrates. It is suitable for static linear joints, such as masonry to masonry, rigid walls or floors, and flexible walls, as well as movement joints up to 20% when used with FJ203 Fire Rope. Typical applications include health and leisure facilities, schools, universities, modular construction, commercial buildings, hospitals, retail and industrial units, train stations, and nuclear power plants.
Preparation
Check that the specification is suitable for the required fire rating and gap size. If a decorative finish is needed on surrounding substrates, apply masking tape to protect the area.
Application
Insert the required backing material, oversized to the joint width, to ensure stability and correct seal depth. Lightly mist with water if using a rock mineral fibre backer to improve adhesion. Cut the cartridge nozzle to the required bead size and angle, then apply the sealant evenly into the gap using a caulking gun. Immediately smooth the sealant to a neat finish with a wet profiling tool or spatula.
Drying Time
The sealant dries in approximately 240 minutes.

Tool Cleaning
Remove all excess sealant and masking tape immediately before curing. Once cured, the sealant can only be removed mechanically.
