Ronseal Super Flexible Primer & Undercoat is designed for use on exterior and interior wood and metal where a flexible, crack-resistant base coat is needed, particularly on surfaces prone to movement such as doors, window frames, and skirting boards. It is applied by brush after ensuring the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose paint, grease, or rust, and it can be overcoated with flexible or standard topcoats once dry. The primer improves adhesion and helps prevent cracking and flaking caused by natural expansion and contraction of the surface. However, its limitations include a longer drying time compared with some fast-drying primers, and it is not suitable for use on plastic surfaces, masonry, or areas subject to constant immersion in water; additionally, it should not be used as a final finish and must always be topcoated for full durability and weather protection.
