Ronseal Anti-Condensation Paint White is applied like a standard interior emulsion and is suitable for use on interior walls and ceilings in areas prone to moisture such as bathrooms, kitchens, and bedrooms; it works by incorporating insulating microspheres that help reduce surface temperature differences and therefore limit condensation forming. The surface should be clean, dry, and free from mould (which should be treated separately) before application, and the paint is best applied in two coats using a brush or roller. However, its effectiveness is limited to reducing condensation rather than eliminating the underlying causes, meaning it should be used alongside good ventilation and heating for best results. It is not designed for exterior use, for permanently damp or water-ingress areas, or as a solution for penetrating or rising damp, and performance may be reduced if applied over glossy, poorly prepared, or non-breathable surfaces.
