Sika® Clear Fix is a transparent hybrid polymer grab adhesive designed for both interior and exterior use, offering strong bonding performance on a wide range of materials. With added UV stabilisers, it is ideal for applications where clarity is essential and coloured adhesives would be visible. This versatile product can be used in numerous situations, even when fully submerged in water. It delivers excellent initial grab with no slip, provides gap-filling capability, cures quickly, and remains fully waterproof and weatherproof. Sika® Clear Fix is also resistant to chemicals such as dilute acids, alkalis, petrol, and many solvents, and provides outstanding primer-less adhesion to materials including metals, certain plastics, glass, concrete, plaster, plasterboard, wood, enamel, and painted surfaces. It can also be applied to wet surfaces and overpainted with some acrylic paints when required.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or loose material. Temporary or emergency wet bonding is possible, but bond performance may be reduced.
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
Cut the tip of the cartridge carefully to avoid damaging the thread. Attach the nozzle and cut the opening to the required bead size. Use a standard sealant gun for application.
As a nail replacement (panel adhesive):
Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry, and dust-free.
Prime dusty surfaces with Sikabond® PVA+ diluted 1:4 with water and allow to dry.
Apply adhesive using a standard sealant gun.
For heavy items (e.g., plasterboard, worktops, wall panels):
Apply adhesive around the edges (30–50 mm from edge) and in beads across the back at 300 mm intervals.
Alternatively, apply directly to battens and press into place.
Note: Always provide temporary support until adhesive has cured.
For lightweight items (e.g., coving, dado rails, skirting):
Apply one or two continuous beads of adhesive to the back of the item and press immediately into place.
Gap-filling:
For areas with large gaps, apply a thicker bead of adhesive as needed.
Clean-up:
Remove excess adhesive immediately using Sika® Wonder Wipes or a cloth with white spirit.
Fixing mirrors:
Apply 6 mm diameter beads of sealant to the back of the mirror in vertical strips spaced 30–40 mm apart.
Position the mirror, pressing evenly with a slight twisting motion.
Provide temporary support (e.g., tape) until adhesive has cured (24–48 hours).
If required, use Sika® Clear Fix to seal around the mirror 24 hours after fixing.
Allow full cure before overpainting.
