Arbofoam Type R is a one-part, CFC-free expanding polyurethane foam available in a pressurized aerosol can. Upon application, it expands initially as it is expelled from the can and continues to expand during curing by absorbing moisture vapor from the atmosphere and substrate surface. Arbofoam can expand up to 40 times its original volume, offering excellent adhesion to a variety of materials including concrete, plaster, brick, cement, wood, metals, and plastics once cured.

Arbofoam Type R is ideal for installing window and door frames and filling gaps around pipes and other structures passing through walls. It is not suitable for use in completely enclosed applications.
Joint Preparation
Ensure that joint surfaces are clean and free from contamination. Before application, lightly spray a fine mist of clean water into the gap to aid in the expansion and curing of the foam.
Application
Follow the user instructions on the can for proper application. All joint preparation, priming, and sealant application should comply with BS 8000 – 16: 1997 + A1: 2010, the British Standard for joint sealing in buildings.
