Arbomast BR is a single-component, Butyl rubber-based sealant designed for closed joint sealing and bedding applications, providing reliable adhesion to various common construction substrates. It forms a protective surface skin upon air exposure, while the main body of the sealant remains non-setting and pliable, making it ideal for flexible and durable seals in closed joints.

Arbomast BR is a non-setting sealant ideal for creating water and airtight seals between metal-to-metal joints in curtain wall and window assemblies, as well as for sealing metal lap and fixing joints. While it provides an effective seal, it offers minimal structural strength, making it suitable for bedding and concealed joints across various construction substrates, including timber, concrete, and metals. Additionally, it is recommended for sealing joints in heating and ventilation ductwork.
Note: Arbomast BR is not suitable for use on bituminous materials, joints subject to high movement, natural stone, or UV-exposed joints.
Joint Preparation:
Before application, ensure all surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from any contaminants. Use the recommended Arbo Cleaner to degrease the surfaces thoroughly. Arbomast BR generally adheres well to most common construction substrates without a primer; however, for surfaces that are excessively porous, brittle, or friable, it is advisable to prime with Arbo 925 Primer to ensure optimal adhesion.
Application:
Arbomast BR is provided in polyethylene cartridges and can be easily applied with an Arbo Caulking Gun for precise and efficient sealing.
