A fast-bonding, non-slumping adhesive with instant grab and excellent gap-filling properties, even on uneven surfaces. It can replace mechanical fixings in various applications and is suitable for use in all weather conditions on rough and porous surfaces. The toluene-free formula makes it safe for use, and it can be over-painted once dry. Ideal for fixing skirting boards, door surrounds, frames, decorative wall boards, metal carpet edges, and automotive trims, this adhesive is perfect for both interior and exterior applications. Apply using a standard cartridge gun (BDCG400).

Shelf Life: Minimum of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in original, unopened cartridges.
Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area at a temperature between +5°C and +30°C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight. Must be stored in accordance with flammable liquid storage regulations.
Coverage: Approximately 12 linear metres per cartridge with a 6mm bead, depending on substrate condition and porosity.

GRIPBOND is ideal for bonding a wide range of materials, including aluminium, steel, wood, chipboard, plasterboard, ceramic tiles, PVCu cladding, building panels, brick, marble, stone, brick veneer, and concrete. It can also be used for skirting boards, door surrounds and frames, window sills, all types of cladding, wall battens, decorative wall boards, metal carpet edges, and automotive trims. Additionally, it is suitable for bonding stair nosings, gripper rods, laminates, and temporary polythene dust-proofing. With good low-temperature resistance, it is ideal for freezers and cold applications.
Note: Some plastics may be affected by solvent attack; test suitability before use.
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease or contaminants that may affect adhesion.
Application
- Use a standard sealant gun, cutting the nozzle at a 45° angle to match the joint size.
- Puncture the membrane at the nozzle base with a long wood nail.
- Apply a 6mm bead (or thicker, depending on the gap) in a zigzag pattern along the length of the item to be fixed.
- Press into place, applying even pressure across the surface, and allow 48 hours for curing.
- Temporary support or fixings are recommended for very heavy items. For ceiling or heavy wall panels, bracing or mechanical fastenings should be used. When bonding foam to a ceiling, additional mechanical fastenings are required.
Cleaning
Remove excess material with Bond It WHITE SPIRIT or cellulose thinners before curing. Clean tools immediately after use.
Limitations
- Not suitable for areas exposed to frequent water immersion.
- Not recommended for use on asphalt, bitumen, or polystyrene.
- Not to be used as a mirror adhesive; use Bond It GLASS MATE or MIRROR PRO instead.
- Dusty or porous surfaces should be primed before applying adhesive.
