This high-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive is specially designed for bonding rubber and plastics, including PVCu, and is ideal for use on porous surfaces. It is perfect for bonding trims and caps on PVCu windows, as well as rubber, wood, metal, ceramics, MDF, leather, porcelain, and card. With a set time range of 10 to 30 seconds, it offers rapid curing, excellent adhesion, and high tensile strength, making it a reliable solution for a variety of materials. Its gap-filling properties make it versatile for different applications.

Shelf Life: The product has a minimum shelf life of 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored in its original, unopened bottles.
Storage Conditions: Store in a closed, upright container in dry, dark conditions between +5°C and +20°C. Lower temperatures will help prolong the shelf life. Protect from frost and direct sunlight.

HVC16 is a high-tensile strength adhesive with enhanced impact resistance, creating a toughened bond. Its higher viscosity makes it ideal for use on porous and vertical surfaces, preventing excessive penetration or running. HVC16 SUPERGLUE is perfect for bonding foam products, PVCu trims, rubber, wood, and many plastics.
Preparation
Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oil, or any other contaminants that may affect adhesion.
Application
Apply a thin film of HVC16 to one surface only, and bring the components together immediately. Components can be repositioned within 2-3 seconds. Apply light pressure to the joint without moving it for at least the time specified in the “Bonding Times” section (usually 20 seconds for most materials). For optimal results, ensure relative humidity is above 50% to initiate polymerisation. Ensure proper ventilation if used in a continuous bonding process.
Bonding Times
At room temperature (+20°C/60% RH), bonding times are as follows:
- Plastics: 5-30 seconds
- Rubbers: 1-15 seconds
Cleaning
Excess adhesive can be wiped away with a dry cloth. Once dried, removal is best done mechanically.
Limitations
Not suitable for permanent glass bonding. Oily or greasy surfaces cannot be bonded, and olefinic or fluoropolymers may require specialized bonding methods. Avoid exposure to strong light and heat sources.
