A range of easy-to-use, chloride-free cement colourants made with high-quality oxide pigments for permanently coloring mortars, cement, concrete, and renderings. The pigment disperses easily for uniform shades per batch, with adjustable color depth for varied tones. CE Approved, the dye should be pre-mixed into the dry sand/cement mixture before adding water. For accurate color matching, always weigh the cement dye and cement rather than gauging by volume, and reduce dye for lighter shades.

Designed for permanently coloring cements, mortars, concretes, and renderings. Compatible with various admixtures, including Bond It Liquid Mortar Plasticiser, Integral Waterproofer, Frostproofer and Hardener, and SBR Admixture.
Preparation
For consistent colour, use sand, cement, and dye from the same batches. A trial mix is recommended to ensure the desired colour, including drying and setting.
Application
Add the powdered dye to the dry sand/cement mixture before adding water, either by hand or machine. Always weigh the cement dye and cement for accurate colour matching—do not gauge by volume. Reduce dye for lighter shades and prepare a test sample beforehand to determine the required amount. The colour will lighten as the cement dries. Limitations
- Not suitable as a stain—only for use in cement mixes.
- Not recommended for structural concrete or lime-based mixes.
- Variations in sand, cement, or dye batches may cause slight shade differences in large projects.
- Mix ratio inconsistencies, finishing methods, and curing conditions can result in minor shade variations.
- Do not exceed 5kg of dye per 50kg of cement, as it may compromise mortar quality.
