Bond It Tanking Slurry Waterproof Coating is a blend of Portland cements, high-quality graded aggregates, and chemical modifiers designed to provide a waterproof coating system. It offers high water resistance and excellent adhesion to most common building materials, making it ideal for use on tanks, pits, swimming pools, walls and floors (above and below ground), cellars, underground rooms, and more. This water-based product is safe to apply on damp surfaces and is resistant to both positive and negative water pressure up to 7 bar. It can be easily applied by brush or trowel, and can also be used with Bond It Plug-It (BDH106) for enhanced performance.

Shelf Life: 12 months from the date of manufacture, before the date shown on the bag, when stored in unopened sacks.
Storage Conditions: Store in the original unopened bags in a cool, dry place between +5°C and +25°C, and protect from frost. Once opened, the product will absorb moisture from the air and become unusable. Do not place bags on the ground.

Bond It TANKING SLURRY is a high-performance, water-resistant, flexible waterproof coating system made from a blend of Portland cements, quality graded aggregates, and chemical modifiers. It offers excellent adhesion and set control in a water mix form. Suitable Applications include tanks, pits, swimming pools, above and below ground walls and floors, cellars, underground rooms, interior spaces like ducting, party walls, lift shafts, and fish ponds.
Preparation
Bond It TANKING SLURRY is suitable for use on brick, stone, and concrete surfaces. Ensure all contact surfaces are clean, sound, and free from dust, grease, loose material, or previous coatings. Use abrasive tools, jet washing, or wire brushing to prepare the surface. Any water pressure should be tapped off, and floor-wall joints should have a fillet inserted. Fill running water leaks and surface defects with Bond It PLUG IT before applying TANKING SLURRY. Under normal conditions, no priming is required, but for difficult surfaces, Bond It EXTERIOR PREGRIT or SBR ADMIXTURE can be used as a primer. Seal around services and pipes with Bond It GRIPBOND PRO HYBRID SEALANT.
Mixing
Mix 5 liters of clean water with 20kg of dry material in a suitable container. Slowly add the powder to the water, mixing continuously until a creamy consistency is achieved. The mix should not be too wet, and no more should be mixed than can be applied within 30 minutes.
Application
Apply Bond It TANKING SLURRY in two coats between +5°C and +25°C. For the first coat, apply a 2mm layer vertically, ensuring coverage in crevices and edges. After 3 hours, check for gaps, and if the first coat is dry, apply the second coat horizontally. Protect from frost, sunlight, and wet weather after application.
Curing and Overcoating
The slurry should be touch dry in 2 hours and thoroughly dry in 6-8 hours under normal conditions. Do not overcoat until after 5 days, using only cement-based renovating plaster for plastering or water-based paints (not silk). Clean tools immediately after use.
Limitations
Bond It TANKING SLURRY should not be applied over plaster, wallpaper, or paint, as moisture will be trapped underneath, causing these materials to fail and damaging subsequent coatings. It is not suitable for use on wood, plastic, or fabric surfaces, nor for gypsum-based plasters. Only stainless steel form details should be used.
