Shelf Life: 12 months when stored as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Storage Conditions: Store in original containers at moderate temperatures between 5°C and 30°C, and keep out of direct sunlight.
EVERBUILD XL FIRE CEMENT is ideal for use on fire bricks, fire grates, flue pipes, flue bricks, boilers, and solid fuel burning stoves.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION: Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from dust, grease, or other contaminants. Wet the surfaces to provide a good key.
MIXING: Use the product directly from the tub, softening with a small amount of water if needed.
APPLICATION: Work the cement well into the joints. Gradually increase heat over a 4-hour period after application. If any cracks form, fill them with fresh cement to ensure a smoke-tight seal.
CLEANING: Clean tools with warm water and soap after use.
LIMITATIONS: Not suitable as a gas sealant, and always moisten surfaces before applying. Apply heat gradually, and note that the product is not waterproof.
