Data Sheets
Mapenet 150 is an alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh designed to reinforce waterproofing, anti-fracture membranes, and insulation coatings. It is particularly suitable for enhancing the waterproofing properties of MAPELASTIC and MAPELASTIC SMART membranes. The mesh is constructed from glass fibers treated with a special primer, ensuring resistance to alkalis as per EAD specification 040016-00-0404, which replaced ETAG 004 on October 28, 2020. Once the waterproofing layer is cured, Mapenet 150 provides reinforcement to help prevent cracks resulting from substrate movement or surface tension. Additionally, it facilitates the application of an even product layer and enhances the overall resistance of the system to temperature fluctuations and abrasion.
Key Points:
- Material Composition: Made from alkali-resistant glass fibers treated with a special primer for enhanced durability.
- Compatibility: Specifically designed to reinforce MAPELASTIC and MAPELASTIC SMART waterproofing membranes.
- Crack Prevention: Reinforces the waterproof layer to prevent cracking due to substrate or surface movement.
- Enhanced Application: Improves evenness of application and increases resistance to temperature variations and abrasion.

Mapenet 150 provides reinforced strengthening for: a) Mapelastic, Mapelastic Smart, Mapelastic Turbo, or Monolastic, utilized for waterproofing terraces, balconies, swimming pools, baths, shower cubicles, and other areas finished with ceramic tiles or stone; b) protective, flexible smoothing layers of Mapelastic, Mapelastic Smart, Mapelastic Turbo, or Monolastic applied to internal and external cementitious substrates with micro-cracks; c) products from the Plastimul range when used on substrates containing micro-cracks; d) various cementitious skim coats.
Mapenet 150 must be fully embedded in the layer it is reinforcing. To apply the mesh, follow these steps: First, spread an even layer of the product. While the product is still wet, place the Mapenet 150 mesh onto the surface and gently press it down with a trowel to ensure it is embedded. Allow the layer to dry completely, and if necessary, apply a second layer of the product. When positioning multiple pieces of Mapenet 150, ensure that they overlap by at least 5 cm.
