Rainbow CUSTOM is ideal for us on all finishing, sanitation, and ventilation sealing works. This includes filling, sealing, and glazing both indoors and outdoors. We specialize in sealing connections for ceramic floors and walls, as well as washbasins, toilets, bathtubs, shower trays, and shower glass. Additionally, we provide filling and weatherproofing for seams between window and door frames.
APPLICATION
Application Conditions: The application temperature should be between +5°C and +40°C.
Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are dry and free from dust, loose particles, and oil. Clean non-porous surfaces with a solvent and a clean, non-fluffy cotton cloth, removing any excess solvent with a clean cloth before it evaporates.
Application Method:
- Cut off the threaded end of the cartridge and screw on the application nozzle.
- Trim the nozzle to create an appropriate opening for application.
- Insert the cartridge into the applicator gun and fill the nozzle with sealant by repeatedly pressing the gun trigger.
- Apply the sealant evenly along the joint by pressing the gun trigger and dragging the nozzle smoothly.
- Smooth the surface with a suitable tool, such as a spatula, and remove any excess material.
- Protect adjacent surfaces with masking tape to prevent staining, removing the tape before the sealant forms a skin.
- In wider or movable joints, use a backer rod to ensure the correct thickness and shape of the sealant joint and to prevent three-sided adhesion.
- Ensure adequate ventilation in all joint locations. During the curing process, keep the joint surface free from impurities and avoid mechanical load.
LIMITATIONS
- Do not use on bituminous substrates or building materials that may bleed oils, plasticizers, or solvents (e.g., natural rubber, chloroprene, EPDM).
- There is no adhesion to PE, PP, or PTFE (Teflon®).
- This product is not recommended for natural stone sealing.
- Given the wide variety of possible substrates, we recommend conducting a preliminary compatibility and adhesion test. If necessary, prime surfaces to improve adhesion.
- Due to the numerous factors affecting application and performance, customers should always test the product first.
