Application & Limitations – Ronseal High Performance Wood Filler Catalyst 30G
The catalyst is designed to be mixed with Ronseal High Performance Wood Filler to activate the curing process, creating a fast-setting, durable repair suitable for both interior and exterior wood. It is typically used for filling deep holes, cracks, and damaged timber such as doors, window frames, and furniture. Once mixed, the filler hardens quickly—usually within minutes—allowing it to be sanded, drilled, or painted shortly after application, making it ideal for time-sensitive repairs. However, its rapid curing time also limits working time, so only small amounts should be mixed at once. It is not suitable for flexible or moving surfaces, as the hardened filler is rigid and may crack under movement. Additionally, precise mixing ratios must be followed; too much or too little catalyst can affect curing performance, and the product should not be used in extremely damp or cold conditions, as this can hinder proper setting.
