Sika® Primer-206 G+P is a solvent-based black primer designed to improve adhesion between substrates and Sika® 1-component polyurethane adhesives and sealants. The primer reacts with atmospheric moisture to form a thin bonding layer that enhances adhesion on a wide range of surfaces. Specifically formulated for pre-treatment of bond faces, it is easy to apply and helps ensure reliable, long-lasting bond performance.

– Improves adhesion on substrates including float glass, ceramic-coated glass, pre-coated surfaces, painted surfaces, selected plastics, and metals.
– Manufacturer guidance should be sought before use on materials that may be prone to stress cracking.
– Compatibility and adhesion testing should always be carried out on the actual substrate before application.
– Suitable for use by experienced professional users only.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
– Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, dust, and other contaminants.
– Where required, improve adhesion through additional surface preparation methods such as scuffing and cleaning.
– Pre-treat bond faces with Sika® Aktivator-100 using the wipe-on, wipe-off method and allow sufficient flash-off time.
– Shake the Sika® Primer-206 G+P container thoroughly until the mixing balls move freely, then continue shaking for a further minute.
– Apply a thin, continuous coating using a brush, felt applicator, or foam applicator.
– Recommended application and substrate temperature: 15°C to 25°C.
– Apply Sika® Primer-206 G+P in a single coat only.
– Ensure the coat provides complete and uniform coverage across the bonding surface.
– Consumption and application method may vary depending on the substrate type.
– Reseal the container immediately after use to maintain product quality.
