Thompson’s WaterSeal Drive Seal Black is designed for restoring and protecting asphalt (blacktop) driveways by filling small cracks, improving surface uniformity, and providing a renewed black finish that helps resist water penetration and weathering. It is suitable for use on properly cured, sound asphalt driveways and walkways, offering a durable, skid-resistant coating when applied under the recommended conditions. However, it is not intended for concrete surfaces, structural repairs, or areas with standing water, and it should not be applied to new asphalt that has not fully cured (typically less than 6–12 months old). Performance may be limited on severely cracked, crumbling, or oil-saturated surfaces, and application is restricted during cold, wet, or excessively hot conditions, as improper temperature or moisture can affect adhesion, drying time, and overall durability.
