Arbo Arbosil 1090
Arbo Arbosil 1090 is a one-part Low Modulus Neutral Cure Silicone Sealant which cures upon exposure to moisture to form an elastic rubber like silicone. Arbo Arbosil 1090 has excellent adhesion to concrete, brickwork, metals and many other common construction surfaces.
This sealant is recommended for a wide range of construction applications, including curtain walling, structural joints in light cladding & profiled metal roof sheets.
As a high quality brand Arbo provide a wide range of sealants which are suitable for use across all areas of construction. More Arbo products can be found via or website.
The joint surfaces must be dry, clean and free from all contamination. The surfaces should be cleaned using the appropriate cleaner. Primers may be required on some surfaces. It is advised that Adshead Ratcliffe Technical Services Department should be consulted, and advice obtained about the type of primer for more specific purposes.
Where applicable, an appropriate joint filler, e.g. closed-cell polyethylene foam, should be used to provide the correct joint depth.
All joint preparation, cleaning, priming, and application should be carried out following BS 8000 Part 16, this is the British Standard for the sealing of joints in buildings using sealants.
Arbosil 1090 is supplied in 380ml cartridges and can be applied into the joint using a sealant applicator gun.
