Bond-it Multi Mate GP Silicone 310ml – Box of 25

Bond-it Multi Mate has excellent adhesion to glass, glazed surfaces, ceramic tiles, aluminium, many plastics and most paints. It is ideal for the following applications – kitchen worktops, bathrooms, showers, utility rooms and general DIY applications.

Preparation

Ensure all substrates are dry and free from grease or any contaminants that may hinder adhesion. For best results on movement joints, use a backing material, or a suitable backing tape or rod. All types of concretes and bare metal surfaces should be primed prior to the application of the silicone.

Application

Apply using a standard sealant gun. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle with a sharpe blade, making sure not to damage the thread.  The nozzle should be cut to an opening slightly larger than the joint tha is to be sealed. Smooth down using a slightly wetted spatula, dampened with a soap & water solution.

We have a number of tools on our website that would assist with the application of this product. We would recommend using a PC Cox Skeleton Gun to apply & a Bond-it Tooling Kit to aid in providing a professional finish.

Limitations

Do not use in conjunction with bitumen or asphalt. For perimeter use only, do not use in areas subject to mechanical abrasion. Furthermore, do not attempt to sand down.
Caution: The colour on application will be different from the colour achieved when fully cured.

Where bare ferrous metals, brass copper, lead or zinc cannot be primed, use Bond It ULTI-MATE Silicone Sealant. Furthermore, do not use on surfaces where water can penetrate through porous materials to affect the bond. Not suitable for fixing mirrors or sealing natural marble.
