LIMITATIONS
- Do not use on glass or white uPVC.
- For external use only; do not use internally.
- Do not use in areas subject to constant water immersion.
- The product forms a surface skin but remains tacky to the touch. Avoid applications where physical surface contact is likely.
- Slight surface crazing may occur in direct sunlight, but the sealant beneath will remain pliable.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
- Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from dust, grease and other contaminants.
- Allow new concrete or mortar sufficient time to dry and mature.
- The product can be applied to wet surfaces.
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
- Preparing the cartridge: Cut the cartridge tip carefully without damaging the thread. Fit the nozzle and cut it at a 45° angle, with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be sealed.
- Applying the sealant: Use a standard sealant gun, maintaining even trigger pressure and a consistent angle for best results.
- Sealing lap joints: Apply enough sealant to bridge the gap and press the surfaces together while the sealant is still tacky, leaving a minimum 2 mm sealant film.
- Smoothing the sealant: Smooth with a spatula or piece of wood wetted with linseed oil or white spirit to ensure a good bond.
- Finishing joints: Apply masking tape to both sides of the joint for a neat finish, removing it within 5 minutes of application.
- Using as an adhesive: Press the surfaces together, separate them and wait approximately 10 minutes until the sealant becomes tacky. Press the surfaces together again and apply even pressure.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
- Clean tools immediately after use with turpentine, white spirit or Sika® Wonder Wipes®.
