Applications and Limitations — ARBO ARBOTHANE 1245 Self Levelling Grey (600ml Pack):
ARBO ARBOTHANE 1245 is a high-performance, one-part polyurethane sealant designed for horizontal joint sealing applications where a self-levelling finish is required. It is commonly used in construction and civil engineering projects such as concrete floor joints, pavement joints, warehouse floors, car parks, and expansion joints subject to moderate movement. The product provides excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates including concrete, brickwork, and metal, and offers good resistance to weathering, abrasion, and chemicals typically encountered in industrial environments. However, due to its self-levelling nature, it is not suitable for vertical or sloped joints, nor for applications requiring immediate traffic exposure before curing. It should not be applied to damp or contaminated surfaces, and compatibility with certain substrates such as plastics or bituminous materials should be confirmed prior to use. Additionally, it is not recommended for potable water contact or areas with continuous immersion unless specified, and proper joint design and preparation are essential to ensure optimal performance.
