Before application, ensure all surfaces are hard, sound, and free from dust, dirt, and other contaminants.
Note on Removing ARDEX CA20P:
- For wet adhesive residue, use a clean, damp cloth with soapy water.
- If the adhesive has dried or formed a skin, it can be scraped off using a blade.
Application Steps:
- Ensure the cartridge is at room temperature before use.
- Insert the cartridge into an applicator or skeleton gun and cut the nozzle to the desired width or angle.
- ARDEX CA20P can be applied to various substrates, including concrete, cementitious underlayments, wood, plywood, painted surfaces, drywall panels, ceramic tiles, certain plastics, metal, waterproofing membranes, polystyrene foam, and fiberglass. If there’s any uncertainty about the compatibility of the substrate or bonding material, conduct a trial application.
- The adhesive will begin to skin over within 7–10 minutes, depending on temperature, and will develop a skin more quickly in high humidity environments.
Caution: While ARDEX CA20P has many applications in the construction industry, it is not intended for structural purposes, such as adding strength to buildings or fixing structural materials like anchor plates, fireplaces, or structural steel.
