The addition of ARDEX E25 Mortar Admix to ARDEX subfloor smoothing compounds is recommended for applications requiring high abrasion or point load resistance, such as temporary wearing surfaces or when applying floor paint or coatings (with compatibility testing and trial applications). It is also ideal for floors with underfloor heating, ensuring the heating is off for 48 hours before and after screeding and then gradually brought up to temperature. Additionally, ARDEX E25 is used with ARDEX K 15 Rapid Drying Self-Levelling Compound to enhance strength and durability, particularly where high point loadings, heavy traffic, or sound adhesive residues or flooring-grade asphalt floors are present.
Key Points:
- Abrasion and Load Resistance: Provides high abrasion and point load resistance for demanding applications.
- Temporary Wearing Surface: Ideal for creating temporary surfaces or when applying floor coatings (with compatibility checks).
- Underfloor Heating: Suitable for floors with underfloor heating, following the correct heating protocols.
- Enhanced Strength and Durability: Used with ARDEX K 15 to improve strength, durability, and suitability for heavy traffic and challenging surfaces.
Storage Life: ARDEX E25 has a shelf life of at least 12 months when stored in its original, unopened containers.

ARDEX E25 is used as an additive with ARDEX cementitious powder products to improve the performance of mortars, leveling and smoothing screeds, and self-leveling thin screeds. It enhances surface hardness, abrasion resistance, and elasticity, while also helping to reduce the risk of cracking in cementitious screeds.
