ARDEX TP 50 is a self-adhesive soft tape made from polyethylene foam, designed for a variety of applications on both floors and walls. It effectively prevents the transfer of stress from structural elements to screeds, leveling compounds, and other floor coverings, while also providing excellent sound-deadening properties between materials such as tiles, natural stone, and screeds.
Substrate Preparation
Ensure the substrate is dry, clean, sound, and solid, free from any releasing agents. Remove all contaminants such as dust, oil, paint, or curing compounds to create an ideal surface for adhesion.
Application
Place the tape with the adhesive side facing down, gradually removing the protective liner while pressing firmly to achieve full adhesion to the substrate. For corners, adjust the tape to fit the substrate or apply it in two separate sections, ensuring the junction is covered with an additional strip for optimal performance.
