Sealing set for flexible and watertight bridging of expansion joints, edge joints and connections and penetrations at risk of cracking.
Preparation of the surface
Follow the instructions provided in the Technical Data Sheets for ARDEX waterproofing compounds and membranes. Joint openings must be sized appropriately to accommodate their calculated movement. If needed, chamfer the edges to prevent loop formation.
Processing
Corners and collars should be placed fresh into the ARDEX sealing compound, which has been rolled, combed, or trowelled shortly before application, and then firmly pressed with a smoothing trowel or spatula. The sealing compound used must match that of the composite sealing system. For waterproofing with ARDEX SK 100 W membrane, use either ARDEX 8 + 9 or ARDEX S7 PLUS to embed corners and collars. In the joint area, corners and collars should overlap by approximately 5 cm or be fully covered with the sealing compound, ensuring it does not enter the movement space beneath. Once all components of the sealing set are installed, the composite sealing can be applied. Corners and collars are then incorporated into the second layer of the composite sealing, leaving the movable zone (e.g., expansion joint) clear to maintain its designed width.

The ARDEX SK TRICOM sealing set must not come into direct contact with solvent-based waterproofing or adhesives. For areas exposed to aggressive chemicals, oils, fuels, or alcohols, consult technical support before use. If unsure, perform a test application or compatibility check. Always follow the processing instructions provided in the relevant Technical Data Sheets for ARDEX sealing products.
