BAL Admix GT1 is a water-based polymer admixture designed to enhance the flexibility, physical properties, and overall performance of cementitious BAL wall and floor grouts. Ideal for use with porcelain tiles, it is suitable for mixing with BAL Grout and Wide Joint Grout to improve durability in demanding environments, including wet areas and installations subject to movement or vibration. Available in convenient 1-litre and 2.5-litre bottles, BAL Admix GT1 is a simple way to upgrade grout performance on professional tiling projects, but it is not suitable for use with highly polymer-modified cementitious grouts or ready-mixed products.

Suitable For:
– Added to BAL cementitious grouts to enhance physical properties and overall performance in both dry and wet, interior and exterior environments
– Suitable for use with BAL Grout and BAL Micromax3 ECO
– Improves mechanical strength
– Increases flexural strength and flexibility
– Reduces water permeability
NOT Suitable for:
– Use with ready mixed products.
– Use with cementitious adhesives.
– Use with epoxy grouts.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Follow the recommendations for use with specific BAL cementitious grouts (see BAL Technical Data Sheet for guidance on preparation and fixing before grouting). At higher temperatures, the pot life and ease of cleaning modified grout may be slightly shorter than unmodified material.
NOTE:
– Use the correct ratio of BAL Admix GT1 to water by volume as specified in the BAL Technical Data Sheet.
– Work in smaller areas if necessary to ensure consistent application.
APPLICATION/USAGE
Do NOT use BAL Admix GT1 in temperatures below 5°C or in damp conditions.
Usage Procedure
1. Shake the container well before use.
2. Dilute BAL Admix GT1 with clean cold water at a ratio of 1:2 or 1:1, depending on the grout being used, and mix thoroughly.
3. Add the BAL cementitious grout to the diluted admixture and mix until a slump-free mortar is achieved.
4. Remove any excess grout from tools and tile surfaces before it sets.
NOTE:
– The pot life and setting time of grout modified with BAL Admix GT1 may be slightly extended.
– odified grout may appear slightly darker once set. To achieve uniform colour, maintain consistent mix proportions throughout the installation.
