Preparation
Surfaces to be primed must be clean, dry, and free from dirt, oil, grease, dust, loosely bound coatings, or any other contaminants that could affect adhesion. Treat or remove any organic growth with Bond It MOULD STOP. Ensure the surface is fully dry before applying the primer.
Application
Apply EASISEAL PRO PRIMER only when the temperature is above +5 °C. The primer is light blue to help identify treated areas. Stir well before use to fully disperse the pigment and polymer. Apply a single coat with a brush or roller, following the recommended coverage rate to ensure minimum thickness is achieved. Allow the primer to fully cure, typically overnight, or up to 48 hours in cold conditions. If a second coat is needed, apply it only after the first coat has fully cured.
It is essential that all bituminous materials are completely covered with EASISEAL PRO PRIMER prior to applying EASISEAL PRO, especially on rough surfaces such as bitumen felt. Inadequate coverage may lead to product failure. Bitumen surfaces generally require at least two coats, with seams and edges possibly needing three coats.
Continue with the application of EASISEAL PRO Waterproofing Compound according to the technical datasheet. It is recommended to test a small area (~1 m²) first to ensure no adverse reaction occurs between the substrate and the product. Use the “black” EASISEAL PRO over bitumen coatings to avoid discoloration from bleed-through. For added durability, SEAL IT REINFORCING MAT can be embedded into the EASISEAL PRO membrane.
Cleaning of Tools
Clean brushes or rollers with soap and water before the primer hardens.
Coverage
1 L of primer covers approximately 5 m²; a 12.5 L container will cover around 60 m² with a single coat.
