This one-part moisture cure polyurethane adhesive is specially formulated for waterproof bonding, offering resistance to seawater, acids, and chemicals, making it ideal for both internal and external use. Available in two formulations, the gel version is a solvent-free, rapid-setting, thixotropic, translucent PU gel that sets in just 5 minutes, while the liquid version is a solvent-free, rapid-setting brown liquid that sets in 30 minutes. It is perfect for a wide range of applications, including joinery, carpentry, garden furniture, staircases, boats, wooden constructions, sandwich panels, and insulation materials, with excellent adhesion to wood, metals, concrete, stone, and more. The adhesive film is highly flexible, water-resistant, and frost-resistant.

Bond It PU RAPID WOOD GEL is an ideal adhesive for joinery and carpentry, as well as for bonding garden furniture, staircases, boats, wooden constructions, sandwich panels, and insulation materials. It provides excellent adhesion to wood, chipboard, laminate, metals, polyurethane, expanded and extruded polystyrene foams, mineral wool, concrete, stone, bricks, gypsum boards, and other traditional porous substrates. This versatile product is also perfect for fixing carpet grippers, metal edges, and stair nosings. It is seawater proof, resistant to acid and chemicals, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, or any contaminants that may affect adhesion. The substrate should have a maximum humidity of 30% RH.
Application
WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES. Carefully cut the tip of the cartridge, ensuring the threaded area is not damaged. Screw on the nozzle provided and cut it at a 45° angle. Apply the adhesive using a standard sealant gun to one substrate or both if the materials are porous. Assemble the materials immediately (within 5 minutes) and clamp for at least 1 hour. Pressing the materials during curing helps achieve maximum bond strength. The product will slightly foam upon application to fill small gaps. Clean any residue immediately with a dilute cleaning solution, as it should not be allowed to set.
Setting Time
Bond It PU RAPID WOOD GEL will begin to skin after approximately 5 minutes. Fast setting occurs around 10 minutes, with the final bond strength achieved after 12 hours.
Cleaning
Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
