CM Pyrostop – A one component, ready to use silicone elastomer intended for fire-stop sealing and bonding. A vital part of the FIRESTOP system of fire rated sealants.

CM Pyrostop Sealant is especially suited to producing fire stop seals, notably for:
- Heavy construction and traditional masonry.
- Curtain walls, panels and facades, metal and PVC joinery.
- Wood burning fires and stoves
- Air ducts, cable or piping passages.
- Terrace or fireplace seals.
- Elastic seal in glazing, on aluminium, wood, PVC, etc.
Joint Preperation
Surfaces to be sealed must be clean, dry and dust free. Surfaces should be degreased with solvent and the two-cloth method.
Application
Apply at temps between +5ºC and +40ºC. It is advisable that a sample test is carried out prior to application. Joint width:depth ratio of 2:1 is advised. Insert backing material to control sealant depth to the recommended ratio. Work within 10 mins of application.
Limitations
Must NOT be used in contact with materials likely to exude certain components.
Must NOT be used for structural glazing applications
Must NOT be used for food contact applications.
