Bitumen Primer is a low-viscosity, high-penetration bituminous solution designed for priming and sealing porous roof surfaces before applying bituminous materials. It effectively seals porous substrates and enhances the adhesion of bituminous waterproofing systems and sheet coverings. Suitable for use on various surfaces, including concrete, asbestos cement, metals (such as mild steel, zinc, and lead), slate, and lightweight concrete screeds.

Bitumen Primer is a low-viscosity, highly penetrating bituminous solution, specially formulated to prime and seal porous roof surfaces prior to the application of bituminous materials.
Method of Application
Bitumen Primer should be applied using a brush to ensure an even coat without pooling, or evenly by airless spray.
Application Instructions:
- Proper surface preparation is crucial. All surfaces must be free from oil, dirt, dust, and loose debris. For metal surfaces, remove any loose rust with a wire brush and treat areas with advanced corrosion using a rust inhibitor.
- Surfaces should be dry for optimal results, though Bitumen Primer can adhere to damp surfaces (not wet). It is resistant to rainfall within 20-30 minutes after application.
- Do not apply in temperatures below +5°C. Tools can be cleaned with White Spirit.
- Wipe off minor spillages immediately before the product sets. Major spillages should be mopped up with inert absorbent material like sand and disposed of in accordance with regulations.
