Sika® Hybriflex® 40 is a high-modulus, one-component hybrid adhesive that provides strong adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including concrete, wood, metal, aluminium, polyester, glass, uPVC, stone, and ceramics. The product offers excellent mechanical strength, outstanding resistance to common chemicals and solvents once cured, and can be overpainted with water-based gloss and emulsion paints following preliminary compatibility testing. Its moisture-curing formulation ensures durable and reliable performance across various construction and industrial applications.

Sika Hybriflex 40 is ideal for the following applications:
- bonding in container fabrication.
- construction and engineering applications.
- bonding metal panels and trim.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
– All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material before application.
– Any flaking coatings, old sealants, or mastics should be completely removed. For optimum adhesion, glass, metal, and aluminium surfaces should be cleaned using a suitable solvent cleaner.
– When using solvents, ensure adequate ventilation and avoid sources of heat, sparks, or open flames.
– Always follow the safety instructions provided on the solvent container.
– Application is not recommended at temperatures below +5°C, as a dry and frost-free surface cannot be guaranteed.
Priming
– Metals: Priming is not always necessary.
– Porous substrates (e.g. concrete): Use Sika® Primer 3N.
– Non-porous substrates: Where required, use Sika® Aktivator 205.
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
– Tool the adhesive within 15 minutes of application. Clean tools and remove any excess adhesive immediately using white spirit or Sika® Wonder Wipes.
