Everbuild Tecnic Hybriflex 40 is a high modulus, one-component, hybrid-based adhesive known for its strong adhesion to most substrates. It offers exceptional mechanical resistance and provides excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents once cured. This versatile adhesive bonds effectively to materials such as concrete, wood, metal, aluminium, polyester, glass, uPVC, stone, and ceramics. Additionally, it is overpaintable with gloss and emulsion paints, though a preliminary test is recommended before use.

Everbuild Technic Hybriflex 40 is ideal for the following applications:
- bonding in container fabrication.
- construction and engineering applications.
- bonding metal panels and trim.
Substrate Preparation:
Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust. Remove any loose or flaking coatings, old sealant, or mastic joints before applying. Clean glass, metal, and aluminium with a proprietary solvent cleaner for optimal adhesion. Always ensure proper ventilation when using solvents, and avoid heat, sparks, or open flames. Follow all safety instructions on the solvent container. Do not apply if the surface temperature is below 5˚C, as it is difficult to ensure a dry, frost-free surface at these temperatures.
Priming:
- For porous substrates like concrete, use Sika Primer 3-N.
- For non-porous surfaces, use Silicone Primer NP2 if needed.
- Priming for metals is not always necessary.
Application Method/Tools:
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or loose particles. Tool down within 15 minutes, and clean any excess adhesive or tools using white spirit.
Limitations:
- Not suitable for substrates that may release oils, solvents, or plasticisers.
- Do not apply on bitumen or asphalt.
- Not recommended for potable water tanks.
- Yellowing may occur in dark conditions, and some darkening or discolouration may happen in areas with high UV exposure, though this does not affect the product’s performance.
