illbruck FA880 is a high-performance, one-component, low-slump silicone sealant specifically developed for use with natural stone. It is completely free from any components that could cause migratory staining, making it ideal for preserving the appearance of sensitive stone surfaces. The formulation is neutral curing, which ensures safe and effective sealing without damaging the substrate. It provides a smooth matt finish for a more subtle and natural look once applied. Additionally, FA880 contains a fungicide to help resist mould growth in areas exposed to moisture.
This product is classified according to EN15651 standards, making it suitable for use in cold climates. It is particularly well-suited for outdoor use and demanding environments.
FA880 is perfect for sealing joints around swimming pool surrounds, patios, and natural stone facades. It can also be used in submerged applications—such as water features or pool edges—when paired with the appropriate primer to ensure strong adhesion and long-lasting results.

For Interior and Exterior Use
FA880 has been formulated for the long term elastic sealing of movement joints between natural stone such as granite, slate, terrazzo, porphyry, limestone, travertine, sandstone, quartzite, marble, etc., as well as for joints with other construction materials like concrete, ceramics, metals, glass, PVC and primed wood.
Can be used on swimming pool surrounds and in submerged projects with the use of a primer.

PREPERATION
• Always carry out a test to confirm compatibility prior to use.
• Surfaces must be clean, free from grease and must be stable and dry.
• For non-porous substrates, use cleaner AT200, do a preliminary test.
• Use a brush to remove loose particles from joints.
• For plastics and powder coatings, clean with AT115 and conduct preliminary tests to confirm compatibility.
APPLICATION
• Application should be in accordance with BS 8000-16 : Workmanship on Building Sites – Part 16: Code of Practice for Sealing Joints in Buildings Using Sealants
• Use a high quality geared sealant gun to expel the sealant consistently. Cut cartridge nozzle to the desired aperture.
• Apply sealant slightly proud of the desired level, spray-on illbruck smoothing agent AA301.
• Tool off immediately using a jointing tool such as illbruck AA311.
• Note: avoid making too many passes with the smoothing tool to avoid polishing the matt finish.
