Eporip is a solvent-free epoxy adhesive made up of two pre-measured components—resin (component A) and hardener (component B)—that must be mixed prior to application. This adhesive has a slightly thixotropic paste consistency, allowing for easy application by brush on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. Eporip cures without shrinkage, resulting in a waterproof bond that exhibits excellent dielectric properties and high mechanical strength, making it suitable for bonding concrete and steel. Additionally, Eporip complies with the requirements outlined in EN 1504-9 for the protection and repair of concrete structures and meets the minimum standards set by EN 1504-4 for structural bonding.
Key Points:
Composition: Eporip consists of two pre-measured components—resin and hardener—that must be mixed before use.
Application: The slightly thixotropic paste can be applied by brush on horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Properties: It polymerizes without shrinkage, providing a waterproof bond with excellent dielectric properties and mechanical strength.
Compliance: Eporip meets the requirements of EN 1504-9 and the minimum standards of EN 1504-4 for structural bonding.

Applications of Eporip:
Creating monolithic construction joints between fresh and hardened concrete.
Bonding precast concrete elements.
Adhering steel to concrete.
Filling cracks in concrete.
Example Uses:
Structural reinforcement of construction joints in beams and pillars.
Repairing construction joints on deteriorated industrial flooring.
Establishing rigid, waterproof construction joints, such as those between concrete beds and tank walls.
Reinforcing beams using the béton plaque technique.
Sealing cracks in cement screeds.
Preparation of the Substrate:
Before applying Eporip, ensure that the substrate is completely clean, solid, and strong. Remove all loose and crumbling materials, dust, cement laitance, and any traces of form-release oils or paint through careful sandblasting or brushing. For metal surfaces, eliminate rust and grease residues, preferably by sandblasting to a white metal finish.
Preparing the Mix:
Eporip consists of two components that must be mixed together. Pour component B (white) into component A (grey) and mix with a trowel for small quantities or use a low-speed drill with a stirrer for larger batches until the mixture is uniformly smooth and consistent in colour. Avoid using partial amounts to prevent ratio errors that could interfere with curing.
Applying the Mix:
Eporip can be applied using a flat trowel or a brush on dry or slightly damp concrete. Allow the product to penetrate uneven and porous areas to ensure strong adhesion across the entire surface. Place the subsequent layer of fresh concrete within the open time specified in the technical data. For cracks wider than 0.5 mm, simply placing Eporip is sufficient; spreading sand over the surface can enhance bonding for any following applications. For cracks narrower than 0.5 mm, widen the cracks and dust them thoroughly before applying Eporip. Do not use Eporip if the substrate temperature is below +5°C.
