Rapid Set is suitable for installing most types of ceramic tiles in interior and sheltered exterior locations, this adhesive is ideal for fixing porcelain tiles and natural stone to stable substrates, such as concrete or sand-cement screed, in small to medium-sized installations (max tile size: 300 x 300 mm).

Preparation of the Substrate
Apply Rapid Set only to stable, dry substrates free from oils, grease, wax, laitance, curing agents, dust, loose areas, cracks, or any contaminants that could hinder adhesion. Cement-based screeds should be at least 3 weeks old, concrete a minimum of 6 weeks, gypsum plaster at least 4 weeks (and primed with Primer G), and sand-cement render a minimum of 2 weeks old. For vertical tile installation, consider using a batten as needed.
Mixing
Mix Rapid Set with clean water, stirring continuously to create a smooth, lump-free paste, ideally using a mechanical stirrer. The mix should be used within 15-20 minutes, as it begins to set quickly. For a 20 kg bag, add 3.8-4.2 liters of water. Let the mixture stand briefly, then stir again before applying.
Applying the Product
Apply Rapid Set to the substrate with a notched trowel to a maximum thickness of 5 mm. Choose a trowel that achieves at least 65-70% coverage on tile backs for dry interior walls, and 100% coverage for floors, exteriors, and interior wet areas. Dampen highly absorbent substrates or prime with Primer G to extend open time, especially in hot weather. Do not wet the tiles before installation; for dusty backs, wipe with a damp sponge.
Working Time and Adjustments
Rapid Set’s open time is approximately 10 minutes in normal conditions, though heat, wind, or highly absorbent substrates can shorten this drastically. Regularly check for skin formation on the adhesive; if it forms, remove and reapply fresh adhesive without adding water, as this will weaken adhesion. Tile adjustments should be made within 5-10 minutes of laying. Protect newly installed tiles from light rain for at least 3 hours and from frost or intense sun exposure for at least 24 hours.
