Suitable for ridged or smooth hardwood or softwood decking
Before You Start
– Choose a warm, dry day with temperatures above 10 °C and clear the decking area.
– Scrub thoroughly with a stiff brush to remove dirt, loose wood fibres, and any old coatings.
– Wash down using a hose or pressure washer to remove all debris; for best results use a decking cleaner & reviver to improve adhesion and durability.
– Allow the deck to dry completely before applying paint.
Application
1. Stir the paint thoroughly using a wide tool and test the colour on a hidden area.
2. Apply generously with a brush, starting in the furthest corner and working along 3–4 boards at a time to avoid overlap marks; work paint into small cracks to fill them.
3. Apply 2 coats, allowing 4 hours drying time between coats.
4. Allow 48 hours before placing furniture back or using the deck, and wash off any paint from skin with warm soapy water.
Aftercare
Clean Up
– Remove excess paint from brushes and wash in warm, soapy water.
– Do not pour leftover paint into drains or waterways; dispose of it via local authority guidance.
Maintenance
– Inspect your deck annually and apply a fresh coat if signs of wear appear to maintain protection.
