Sika Pinkgrip Solvent Free is a versatile adhesive designed to replace mechanical fixings in various home improvement applications. It offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials, including wood, brick, plaster, plasterboard, polystyrene, metals, and plastics. The solvent-free formula ensures safety and environmental friendliness, while its enhanced slump resistance allows for quick and easy direct bonding without the need for temporary support in many cases. This high solids adhesive also features excellent gap-filling properties, extended open time for easy repositioning, and the ability to adhere to damp surfaces, all while providing a clean, water-based solution for easy cleanup.

Sika Pinkgrip Solvent Free is ideal for a range of bonding applications, including securing dado rails, architraves, and skirting, as well as fixing wall cladding to internal surfaces or timber battens. It can also bond carpet gripper systems to most floors without nails, attach stair nosing to concrete or wooden stairs, and secure aluminium or other skin panels to the framework of portable industrial buildings and caravans.
Substrate Preparation: Ensure that surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and contaminants. Surfaces such as wood, plaster, and brick can be slightly damp but should not be wet. If necessary, clean porous surfaces through mechanical abrasion before application. For priming, Sika PVA can be used.
Application: Apply Sika PINK GRIP SF to one surface in strips or daubs. Position the object and gently slide it into place, applying pressure to create an even bond. If repositioning is needed, adjust the object and then apply maximum pressure for up to 1 minute. Wipe away any excess adhesive with a damp cloth to ensure a neat bond. For heavy objects, temporary mechanical fixings may be required until full bond strength is achieved.
Limitations: This product should not be used on non-porous surfaces (e.g., plastic to plastic, metal to metal) – instead, use Sika Pink Grip. It is not suitable as a mirror adhesive; use Mirror Mate for this purpose. Note that curing will be slower when used externally. For external applications, Sika Pink Grip (solvent-based) is recommended.
