Application:
Tools Needed:
Notched trowel, brush, or spatula (depending on surface size)
Clean cloth
Optional: roller or press for applying pressure
Step 1: Surface Preparation
Clean and dry both surfaces.
Remove dust, grease, oils, wax, and any loose particles.
Lightly sand smooth or glossy surfaces to improve adhesion.
Step 2: Apply Adhesive
Apply a uniform coat of adhesive to both surfaces using a notched trowel, brush, or spatula.
Ensure full coverage, especially on edges and corners.
Step 3: Allow to Dry (Touch-Dry)
Let the adhesive evaporate for 10–20 minutes (depending on room temperature and humidity) until it’s touch-dry but still tacky.
Do not join surfaces while wet—this is a contact adhesive.
Step 4: Join Surfaces
Carefully align and press the two surfaces together.
Apply strong, uniform pressure over the entire bonded area using a roller, press, or by hand.
Once contact is made, the bond is instant and permanent—adjustments are not possible.
Step 5: Curing Time
Bond is immediately strong but reaches maximum strength in 24–48 hours.
Avoid stressing the joint during this time.
Important Notes:
Use in a well-ventilated area due to solvent fumes.
Do not dilute or mix with other adhesives or solvents.
Not suitable for wet or submerged environments.
Limitations:
1. Not Suitable for Some Plastics
Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), PTFE (Teflon) and other low-energy surfaces are difficult or impossible to bond with this adhesive.
May not adhere well to plasticized PVC or oily/waxy surfaces.
2. Heat Resistance Limits
While it’s resistant to moderate temperatures, it’s not designed for high-heat environments.
Not suitable for bonding parts near ovens, stoves, or engines.
3. Not Load-Bearing
It’s not a structural adhesive—not recommended for load-bearing joints or applications requiring high mechanical strength.
4. Surface Preparation Required
Must be applied to clean, dry, and grease-free surfaces for best results.
Poor adhesion if used on dirty, wet, or powdery surfaces.
5. Contact Bonding Process
Requires application on both surfaces and a waiting period until it becomes touch-dry.
This two-step process may be inconvenient for some quick repairs or fast-paced work.
6. Not Repositionable
Once the two surfaces are pressed together, there’s no room for adjustment—the bond is instant and final.
Not ideal if precise alignment is needed during assembly.
7. Not UV Resistant
Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause degradation of bond strength and discoloration.
Best used indoors or in shaded areas unless protected.
8. Contains Solvents
This is a solvent-based adhesive and should be used in well-ventilated areas.
Not ideal in confined spaces without proper air exchange.
Not food-safe—keep away from surfaces in direct contact with food or drink
